Employee Recognition Award
|The Employee Recognition Award is a program the Sheriff’s Office has established to recognize our employees for outstanding work performance.
In the early morning hours of December 16th, 2018. Hamilton County Communications Center received multiple 911 calls reporting a large structure fire with explosions on the west side of Webster City.
At this time Hamilton County Dispatcher Julie Twedt was the only dispatcher on duty. Twedt answered the multiple 911 calls reporting the fire, paged three
Fire Departments, paged EMS, dispatched Webster City Police Department and Hamilton County Sheriff’s Department and contacted Webster County Communications Center to dispatch Duncombe Fire Department for mutual aid.
Then answered radio traffic to responding units and responding to their requests for contacting gas and electric companies.
All of these actions took place in minutes and was done flawlessly. Julie has been a dispatcher for over 20 years, with over two years of those at the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office. Hamilton County is blessed to have some of the best dispatchers around.
With great honor I present the Employee Recognition Award to Julie Twedt for outstanding performance in serving our citizens of Hamilton County.
(10/6/17) The Employee Recognition Award is a new program for the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office. This award is to recognize employees that are hardworking, a team player and go above and beyond what is expected of them and they rose to the occasion when the need arose.
